LET’S EVOLVE TOGETHER

HOW WE CAN HELP YOUR SCHOOL COMMUNITY

Teacher Growth & Development

We have long known that teachers are the single most important factor in student success. Yet we are facing a crisis of teacher retention. And those who stay often feel burned out. The old approach—“observation and evaluation”—won’t attract, retain, and develop the most important part of your learning community.

The good news is that we know the solution: regular opportunities for feedback, communication, and recognition. That’s why we have created a next-generation Teacher Growth & Development Program.

Strategic Planning

Every school needs a strategic plan, but few school leaders and boards know a good plan from a bad one. So schools end up making a laundry list of “strategic” things reflective of various stakeholder wishes. The final result is a diffusion of focus that reinforces the status quo. That’s the opposite of strategy!

In the Evolution Lab approach, we focus on understanding “Forces at Play,” defining what it will mean to succeed in such a world, and identifying choices that will take your school on that change journey.

EXPERIMENT SAFELY

OPTION a: 1/2 DAY ONSITE MSA-LED WORKSHOP

MSA will visit your school campus to lead a (1/2) half-day workshop. Your teachers will:

  • Learn and practice the essentials of a new growth and development model.

  • Develop insights into their own and their peers’ strengths in teaching.

  • Strengthen bonds with their colleagues.

  • Receive a digital playbook for implementing the growth and development model at a pace that is right for them.

What PREVIOUS IN-PERSON WORKSHOP PARTICIPANTS Are Saying

“There were multiple aspects of the workshop that especially impressed me. These included use of the Clifton Strengths survey to identify each person's most dominant themes and to start to consider how to foster curiosity and teacher and team strengths and talents.”

—EDUCATOR, PADUA SCHOOL

“An extremely engaging tutorial on constructively guiding teachers.”

—EDUCATOR, PADUA SCHOOL

“As a new department chair this year, I want to make sure my colleagues in my department understand that I am on their side and want them to be the best educators that they can be. It was very helpful to do the strengths survey beforehand and to participate in the empathy interviews - something I am planning to now incorporate into my own classes in world languages!.”

SPECIAL EVOLUTION LAB PROJECTS

TEACHER GROWTH & DEVELOPMENT

Strengthening Teacher Growth and Development Programs at Fordham Preparatory School, nyc

During the 2021-22 school year, Fordham Prep in NYC re-examined its compensation and evaluation programs. The first meaningful change involved shifting the frame of the conversation from “observation and evaluation” to “growth and development.” They enlisted MSA to come on board to help with this change transformation.

Collaboration with the MSA team has reinvigorated a sense of teamwork and commitment to personal growth among our faculty, helping to connect us in ways we never have before.  Additionally, their partnership and guidance have been instrumental in my own formation as a more confident and thoughtful leader within our school community.”
