Declaration of Powerful Learning (A Virtual Workshop)
Date: February 19
Time: 11:00 am ET
Format: Zoom Live, interactive virtual workshop
What does powerful learning look like in your school community, and how do you make it real?
Every school talks about powerful learning. Few take the time to define it clearly, collectively, and in ways that guide daily decisions.
This interactive workshop helps school communities articulate what powerful learning truly means for them, and how to align improvement, evidence, and storytelling around that vision.
At the center of this workshop is the creation of a Declaration of Powerful Learning, a one-page statement that becomes a shared anchor for your school.
A well-crafted Declaration:
Aligns your community around a shared understanding of powerful learning
Grounds improvement work in evidence that actually matters to your students and educators
Helps market your school to families and donors using distinctive, values-driven claims rather than generic promises
This is not a branding exercise. It is a clarity exercise.
What You’ll Do in the Workshop
In this highly interactive session, participants will:
Examine what “powerful learning” looks like in their specific context
Translate beliefs and values into clear, usable language
Draft a first version of their own Declaration of Powerful Learning
Identify practical next steps for using the Declaration in improvement work, accreditation, and storytelling
Participants leave with tangible progress, not just ideas.
Who This Workshop Is For
School and system leaders
Instructional leaders and coaches
Classroom teachers
Accreditation and improvement teams
Create clarity. Make wise change.
Middle States is where the change happens. And Middle States is glad to be on the journey with you.
